This is a new thread where people can post links to fun/ uplifting/ clever/irreverant - or even just plain silly stuff.  The only criterion is that it should help us stay in a good yet unruly mood.  Therefore no empty cynicism  or pessimism.  Aim should be something new and  fun every day.

So go for it!!

The Zimmers were uplifting.

Here's a mobile phone salesperson demonstrating what he could be doing.

It's harder to avoid cynicism and empty pessimism than I thought...

But I thought of something:

CALEB is a short (20 minute) film made in Brisbane and released recently on YouTube. Their budget - I don't think they could actually afford shoestrings.

The film is a bit dark, but I am inspired and gladdened by the amount of amateur media coming out all over YouTube - give people the tools, and it's amazing what they will do.

BTW I deleted dalek's last post for not following the rule:

The only criterion is that it should help us stay in a good yet unruly mood.

I loved the mobile phone salesperson clip

Think twice before visiting Nelson Rocks Preserve: a private outdoor recreation area. Disclaimer.

Ever wondered about the difficulties of communicating the intricacies of history to teenagers

History Class explores some of the issues.

Free Hugs

PS Like YM I'm finding it really hard.

Down for other reasons but not helped by "Caleb" (and especially by YM seeing it as positive use of U-tube - also pisssed off at spoiling Dr Who (series not episode) in other thread. Cheered by deletion of dalek downer from this thread.

Loved Nelson Rocks disclaimer (but spoiled it afterwards for myself by feeling ashamed by how long it took me to decide on whether it was part of a spoof site or a (humorous) real disclaimer (ran out of time after more tan an hour) - down about being so uncompehending of obvious.

Enjoyed Seinfeld history class but couldn't suppress negative thoughts about it sneering at the masses (probably a reflection of my own total isolation in contrast to Bill not needing to be "politically correct" as actually having positive expriences with teaching. Was desprately hoping for an ending in which the class reveals they are not stupid by discussing how well they are doing at disorienting the teacher by pretending to be.

Really enjoyed God script - and also the neat cartoon solution to dalek insisting on last word in global warming thread  (even though it wasn't  even pretending to reply to anything he actually said.

My inability to refrain from adding these comments may imply I won't be able to keep up contributions till i do recover.
